Trump Picks Prosecutor Who Previously Slammed Biden, Obama, Clinton
President Donald J. Trump’s latest appointment to a top federal prosecutor role has sent a clear message to the corrupt political class and open-border advocates: business as usual is over.
John A. Sarcone III, now serving as interim U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of New York, took his oath of office this week and wasted no time laying out an agenda rooted in law and order, national sovereignty, and common sense. Sarcone, a seasoned legal mind from Westchester County with longstanding ties to President Trump’s political movement, brings a sharp outsider’s perspective to a justice system long dominated by career bureaucrats.
While the corporate media rushed to clutch pearls over Sarcone’s past social media posts — where he called Joe Biden a “traitor” and suggested Barack Obama be deported as the “first illegal alien” — the bigger story is what Sarcone plans to do with the power now entrusted to him.

View Plans“I believe the prosecutorial power, and discretion,” Sarcone said at his swearing-in, “is best entrusted to those with the full breadth of professional and life experiences, from which common sense, wisdom, and informed judgment emerge.”
A Trump loyalist who assisted with prior campaign efforts, Sarcone enters the role without prosecutorial experience — a fact his critics are exploiting. But in an era when the DOJ has been weaponized against conservative voices, his outsider status is a welcome sign of reform.
Sarcone pledged to crack down on illegal activity at the northern border, restore respect for federal law, and root out public corruption and consumer fraud. Notably, he highlighted growing concerns over antisemitism and intimidation on college campuses, vowing to protect students' constitutional rights — and even going as far as to suggest prosecution for those who enable threats and harassment.
“Our reach will not stop at prosecuting those who choose to violate our laws, but also those who knowingly support any violations in any way, shape or form,” Sarcone stated.
MS-13 Crackdown Highlights Trump-Era DOJ Muscle
On the same day Sarcone took office, the FBI announced the capture of a top East Coast leader of the brutal MS-13 gang — a major win for the Trump administration’s law-and-order agenda.
The suspect, an illegal alien from El Salvador and one of the most dangerous gang leaders in the U.S., was arrested in Woodbridge, Virginia. Attorney General Pam Bondi and FBI Director Kash Patel oversaw the high-risk operation alongside Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche and DOJ official Emil Bove.
“Early this morning, one of the top leaders of MS-13 was apprehended... He is an illegal alien from El Salvador — and he will not be living in our country much longer,” Bondi declared.
Bondi didn’t mince words, connecting the operation directly to Trump’s leadership.
“From the second Donald Trump took office, he said he is going to make America safe... We didn’t need new laws, as President Trump always says — we needed a new president,” she said. “America is safer today because one of the top domestic terrorists in MS-13... is off the streets.”
FBI Director Patel echoed the no-nonsense stance: “This task force is going to go everywhere as needed… If you are going to continue to commit acts of violent crime, you will meet the same fate.”
