Schumer Melts Down Over Trump’s BBB: ‘We Are All Going To Die’

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer made headlines for all the wrong reasons Wednesday, attempting to rebrand a major Republican-led legislative package — known by supporters as the “One Big Beautiful Bill” — with a theatrical and alarmist label: the “Well, We’re All Going To Die Act.”

The New York Democrat’s performance, complete with printed posters and apocalyptic warnings, was swiftly met with derision. Schumer claimed the bill would strip 14 million Americans of healthcare coverage, eliminate food assistance for 11 million, and serve as a vehicle for “tax cuts for billionaires on the backs of families.”

“This is the ‘We Are All Going To Die Act,’” Schumer declared from the Senate floor, holding up a placard for emphasis.

But critics were quick to call out the performative outrage and fearmongering, pointing to the left's long history of crying wolf any time Republicans attempt meaningful reform.

“If every Republican bill labeled ‘deadly’ by Democrats had actually caused mass death, we’d all be ghosts by now,” one user on X quipped. “I’m already dead from Net Neutrality, climate change, sequestration, and building a wall.”

Another user mocked the left’s hyperbole: “Doesn’t this act get old? Everyone was going to die if we repealed net neutrality. Passing tax cuts will kill everyone. Even the emotional value is gone because no one takes it seriously anymore.”

Political commentator AG Hamilton added: “It really is like the Reason video when they mocked these clowns for saying ‘people will die’ anytime a Republican proposed anything.”

CNN’s own conservative analyst Scott Jennings offered a blunt takeaway: “No one should ever – ever – take these people seriously ever again ever.”

While Schumer performed theatrics on the Senate floor, real-world data continued to paint a dire picture for Democrats heading into 2025.

A new CNN poll revealed a devastating truth: Americans simply don’t trust Democrats on the economy — even after months of media-driven attacks on President Donald Trump’s tariff policies.

“You would think after all the waves, all the hysteria in the media, that Democrats would have this massive lead on the economy. It ain’t so,” CNN data analyst Harry Enten admitted during a segment this week.

“In November 2023, Republicans led by 11 points. Now they still lead — by eight points. Despite months of recession fears, despite the stock market’s volatility, despite the tariffs — Republicans are still winning this argument,” Enten said.

He continued: “And it’s not just our CNN poll. Look at the Reuters/IPSOS numbers. In May 2024, right before President Trump was re-elected, Republicans held a nine-point lead. One year later? That lead has grown. Republicans now enjoy a 12-point advantage on the economy.”

This surge comes amid the second term of President Donald J. Trump, whose America First policies — including strategic tariffs, border enforcement, and deregulation — continue to resonate with working-class Americans despite relentless attacks from media elites and globalist Democrats.

In short: Americans are rejecting the politics of panic and embracing the policies that work.
