Trump Slams Federal Judge For Blocking Deportation Of ‘Dangerous’ Aliens
President Donald Trump is calling on the Supreme Court to intervene and “put an END to the quagmire that has been caused by the Radical Left,” following yet another example of judicial overreach by a Biden-appointed federal judge who blocked the deportation of violent illegal immigrants.
U.S. District Judge Brian Murphy, a Biden nominee serving in Massachusetts, stunned law enforcement and immigration officials by halting a deportation flight to South Sudan. The judge claimed the deportation “unquestionably” violated an earlier ruling he made—ignoring the fact that all individuals on board had been legally processed and found removable under immigration law.
In April, Judge Murphy ruled that illegal immigrants must be allowed to argue whether they would be unsafe if deported to a third country—not necessarily their country of origin. That controversial decision already disrupted deportation efforts to Libya, and has now been used to derail ICE’s attempts to remove criminals to South Sudan.

View PlansThe eight individuals aboard the blocked flight were no ordinary detainees. According to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), they were all convicted of horrific crimes, including murder and child rape, with some final deportation orders going back more than two decades—to 1999, 2005, and 2009.
Still, during an emergency hearing, Judge Murphy claimed these criminals had not been provided a “meaningful opportunity” to contest their transfer to a war-torn country, despite their long histories of legal adjudication and removal orders.
The Biden administration responded through Deputy White House Chief of Staff Stephen Miller, who slammed the ruling as reckless and dangerous. “A local city judge in Boston has halted the deportation of 8 convicted and ultra-violent illegal alien murderers and child predators and forced ICE officers to live with them full time — without secure housing — while the Boston judge tries to fly them back to America,” Miller posted on X, formerly Twitter, along with excerpts from a DOJ rebuttal.
Judge Murphy went even further, ordering that the deportees—now grounded at a U.S. military base in Djibouti—be given 72 hours’ notice before undergoing “credible fear” screenings and 15 days to reopen their cases if they allege persecution.
President Trump blasted the ruling on Truth Social, writing:
“A Federal Judge in Boston, who knew absolutely nothing about the situation, or anything else, has ordered that EIGHT of the most violent criminals on Earth curtail their journey to South Sudan, and instead remain in Djibouti. He would not allow these monsters to proceed to their final destination.”

He continued:
“This is not the premise under which I was elected President, which was to PROTECT our Nation. The Judges are absolutely out of control, they’re hurting our Country, and they know nothing about particular situations, or what they are doing — And this must change, IMMEDIATELY!”
Even more disturbing, the judge is now mandating that the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) provide weekly updates on the status of these criminal aliens, as long as they have access to legal counsel and a phone, according to reporting by the Boston Herald.
ICE Acting Director Todd Lyons revealed the logistical nightmare unfolding behind the scenes. The detainees' countries of origin—Cuba, Laos, Mexico, Myanmar, Vietnam, and South Sudan—are refusing to accept them back, leaving ICE agents in limbo.
Judge Murphy, defending his controversial ruling, claimed: “It was impossible for these people to have a meaningful opportunity to object to their transfer to South Sudan.”

View PlansThe White House isn’t buying it. Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt pushed back hard:
“Judge Brian Murphy is not the secretary of state, he is not the secretary of defense, or the commander in chief. He is a district court judge in Massachusetts. He cannot control foreign policy or national security of the United States of America, and to suggest otherwise is being completely absurd.”
This episode underscores the ongoing battle between President Trump’s administration and an activist judicial system that increasingly seeks to undermine lawful immigration enforcement—and put American communities at risk in the process.
