Video: Anti-ICE Agitators Say Video of Woman Writhing in Pain Shows ICE Blew Part of Her Hand Off, But Look What We Found When We Slowed It Down
Left-wing agitators have flooded the streets of Minneapolis following Saturday’s fatal shooting of an anti-ICE protester during a confrontation with Border Patrol agents, triggering days of unrest marked by additional arrests, chaos mislabeled as “protests,” and renewed political agitation.
In the aftermath, social media activists have worked aggressively to inflame tensions—circulating graphic and highly misleading claims about alleged law enforcement violence that are not supported by available evidence.
One video currently spreading on X purports to show federal agents inflicting a gruesome injury on a female protester. As one widely shared post claims, agents of “ICE shoot ‘less than lethal’ ammo—blow off a piece of a woman’s bloody hand. She runs holding her hand up to try stop the bleeding—before collapsing down into snow.”
The problem is simple: the video does not show that.
Despite dramatic claims, the footage itself offers no evidence that any part of the woman’s hand was “blown off.” The post can be seen here. It’s not embedding properly despite numerous attempts from different browsers, which could simply be a technical glitch—or could raise questions about the claim’s reliability.
Regardless, the account behind the post—“LongTimeHistory”—boasts nearly 170,000 followers, and the video amassed more than 123,000 views, spreading the allegation far and wide before basic scrutiny could catch up.
The post’s wording is deliberately lurid:
“‘Medic! Medica!’ she cries out for help. ‘They shot her!’ witnesses yell. ‘Oh my God!’”
Another post pushed a similar narrative:
BREAKING: ICE shot another protester, blowing off a piece of her hand with non-lethal ammo.

When will this carnage end?https://t.co/xuI6YCixt1
“BREAKING: ICE shot another protester, blowing off a piece of her hand with non-lethal ammo,” the post states.
“When will this carnage end?”
But melodrama aside, slowing down the footage tells a very different story. While the woman does appear distressed and runs from the scene seeking help, close inspection shows her hand remains intact.
At 0:04 seconds, her thumb and fingers are clearly visible.
Between 0:05 and 0:08, there are multiple clear frames showing her hand with no missing digits.
The video’s resolution makes it impossible to determine whether there was blood present, but there is a significant difference between a painful injury and the claim that law enforcement “blew off” part of someone’s hand.
Even Factually.co, a fact-checking outlet hardly known for sympathizing with federal immigration enforcement, examined the incident and found no evidence supporting the most extreme claims.
A far more restrained interpretation of the footage raises obvious questions: Was the woman startled, panicked, or in pain after being struck by a non-lethal round? Was she reacting emotionally—or theatrically—in the heat of the moment?
Whatever the explanation, the footage available does not support the viral claim. Her hand appears, by all visible evidence, to still be fully intact.
Leftists are claiming ICE shot this woman with non-lethal ammo, making her lose part of her hand. They DEMAND justice because her life will never be the same…

In reality, she decided to PICK UP a flashbang and tried to throw it back at agents. She’s lucky the damage wasn’t… pic.twitter.com/uh63mEyNAV
That raises a more troubling question: why were left-wing activists so eager to push an exaggerated narrative alongside a video that undermines their own claims?
The answer is obvious. The objective is escalation.
There is also a striking pattern among these activists—namely, their apparent shock when their actions provoke consequences. In the background of the footage, a bystander can be heard repeatedly exclaiming, “Oh my God,” seemingly stunned that confrontation with federal law enforcement could result in forceful response.
It is as if these agitators expect to defy federal authority with impunity.
They appear genuinely surprised when resistance is met with resistance.
They do not seem to understand that actions—especially unlawful ones—have consequences.
