Watch: White House Easter Egg Roll Shows Rare Side of Trump That the Masses Love
If your understanding of the world came solely from mainstream media, two things would be true:
First, I’m genuinely and sincerely sorry.
Second, you’d likely believe that President Donald Trump is some sort of terrible villain.
It’s no secret that the establishment press has long since lost credibility, but it’s still unfortunate that they consistently choose to cast Trump in the most negative light imaginable.

Because let’s be real: if Trump were given even a sliver of the glowing media treatment that former President Barack Obama (imagine that!) received, we’d be talking about one of the most entertaining and magnetic presidents to ever hold office.
(Heck, even Obama might admit that.)
We’d also be celebrating one of the most lovable grandfathers to ever sit behind the Resolute Desk.
Just take a look at the heartfelt interactions and genuine reactions captured during the White House Easter Egg Roll on Monday.
Here’s how the event kicked off — a clear display of Trump’s deep-rooted patriotism:

Here’s a touching moment shared by White House communications advisor Margot Martin, showcasing a side of Trump that’s rarely highlighted by the media:

But perhaps the most heartwarming scene came when Trump joined a group of kids at a coloring station, stepping fully into his role as doting grandfather.
He managed to squeeze in not one, but two classic Trump-style remarks — all while (presumably) staying within the lines.

First, he gave the children his well-known signature, a keepsake they probably don’t yet realize is worth a lot:

Then, in a moment that many husbands might find familiar, he gently poked fun at his wife with a bit of lighthearted praise:
Honestly, how can anyone watch those moments and believe the narrative that he’s some tyrannical figure bent on destroying democracy?
If your only exposure to Trump came through clips like those, you’d probably think his biggest offense was “stealing” a kid’s nose with that classic thumb trick.
And truth be told, that version of events might be a lot closer to reality than the dark portrayal pushed by much of the media.
Yes, Trump can be firm when the situation calls for it. (Just ask China.)
But a monster? That guy in those videos? Definitely not.
