What if Kirk's Assassination, Prager's Paralysis, and Peterson's Illness Prove We're Finally Loosening Satan's Grip on America?

The past year has brought a series of devastating blows to some of the most influential voices at the intersection of conservatism and faith. Dennis Prager, founder of PragerU, was left paralyzed after a tragic accident last November. Renowned psychologist Jordan Peterson narrowly survived a severe illness. And Charlie Kirk, founder of Turning Point USA, was assassinated—an unspeakable act that stunned the nation.

These are not merely personal tragedies. They are losses felt by millions of Americans who found their way back to faith, meaning, and moral clarity through the work of these men. Each, in his own way, challenged the spiritual emptiness promoted by the modern left and pointed people toward God.

On November 23, National Review reported on Prager’s condition following a fall in late 2024. After spinal surgery, doctors confirmed he was paralyzed from the shoulders down. And yet, according to his broadcast co-host Julie Hartman, Prager’s spirit remains unbroken—his resolve and faith intact.

Hartman’s reflection drew a powerful connection between Prager, Peterson, and Kirk. As the New York Post reported, Peterson came perilously close to death last summer after battling pneumonia and sepsis. Kirk, meanwhile, was taken from us on September 10, silenced in the prime of his life.

All three men spoke openly and unapologetically about faith. All three paid an extraordinary price.

Scripture teaches that when darkness senses its hold slipping, it lashes out at the light. Those who refuse to bow to evil inevitably find themselves in conflict with it. History is filled with examples of this truth.

At the same time, the broader cultural picture suggests something remarkable may be happening. In February 2025, the Pew Research Center reported that the long decline of Christianity in America appears to be slowing—or even leveling off. Later that year, a September 2025 study cited by Deseret News found that Gen Z and Millennials are attending church at higher rates than older generations.

That is not coincidence. It is correction.

A culture built on instant gratification, moral relativism, and outright hedonism ultimately offers nothing but emptiness. Increasingly, Americans—especially young ones—are discovering that a life without Christ leads not to liberation, but to darkness and despair.

For many, the journey began politically: a desire to understand, to resist leftist ideology, to defend free speech and national sovereignty. But that curiosity became something deeper. Politics became the gateway; faith became the destination. The political awakening of the last decade has doubled as a spiritual reawakening.

Charlie Kirk was taken far too soon. Dennis Prager and Jordan Peterson remain with us—for now. Their work is not only worthy of admiration, but of imitation.

America does not need weaker faith. It needs stronger believers. It needs men and women with the courage to stand firm, even when that puts them on a collision course with evil itself.

And perhaps that is exactly why the attacks have intensified.
