Woman Who Tried Doxing Minn. ICE Agent Ends Up Exposing Herself

A Minnesota woman who attempted to publicly expose the Immigration and Customs Enforcement agent involved in last week’s fatal Minneapolis shooting is now facing serious personal consequences of her own — including public backlash, self-exposure, and the loss of her job.

The ICE agent, identified in news reports as 10-year veteran Jonathan Ross, was allegedly doxxed by Sara Larson, who at the time was employed as a massage therapist at East-West Acupuncture. Larson posted a video to social media that quickly went viral, urging people angry over the shooting to harass Ross and his family at their home.

“Jonathan Ross lives in my town, Chaska, Minnesota,” Larson said in the video. “There are two police squad cars sitting in front of his home.” She added that she noticed the police presence while running an errand.

“I came back because I wanted to ask if they were protecting him or if they’re protecting the general public,” she continued. “And police officers basically said we’re here to protect the community.

“It is what it is. I don’t really believe them,” Larson said. “They’re protecting him, he’s hiding out in his house. And I’d love for everyone who doesn’t like him to circle around in this neighborhood.”

Larson then feigned restraint while effectively revealing the agent’s address, encouraging viewers to take action.

“Go circle around, make him uncomfortable everybody,” she added.

Shortly after the video spread online, internet users identified Larson, triggering scrutiny of her actions and apparent disciplinary consequences from her employer.

In a statement displayed on the company’s website, East-West Acupuncture distanced itself from Larson.

“We want to clarify the current situation. The individual involved with the recent viral video is no longer employed with EastWest Acupuncture,” the statement read, according to the Western Journal.

“Their actions were their own and did not represent our standards, values, or expectations as a business. We also want to acknowledge what has followed. Some members of our team and their families have experienced threats, harassment, and false or misleading reviews. This has been very difficult for those affected, and we kindly ask for understanding and compassion as we work through this.”

Larson has since removed the video from her social media accounts.

Meanwhile, federal officials say the consequences of online vigilantism have been far more severe for Ross and his family. In an interview this week with Fox Radio’s Will Cain, border czar Tom Homan confirmed that Ross has gone into hiding after receiving threats.

During the discussion, Cain questioned why federal agents subjected to public smears have not pursued legal action.

“When do I start seeing ICE agents, Border Patrol agents, sue for defamation?” Cain asked. “Mostly, I have been curious about and, really, honestly, in some ways, imploring the Border Patrol agents who were accused of whipping Haitian migrants by former President Joe Biden and former President Kamala Harris…to sue them for defamation, it fits the classical, legal definition of defamation.”

Cain also pointed to public accusations leveled by prominent figures.

“And now to your point, you have all of these…celebrities and sports figures, like head coaches in the NBA, Doc Rivers and Steve Kerr, calling this agent in Minnesota a murderer. And I do wonder what’s holding back these agents for demanding accountability in the form of a lawsuit for defamation,” he said.

Homan responded that legal action may soon follow.

“I think things are so bad now, Will, you’re going to see that start happening,” Homan said. “I’ve talked with two people, and I think you’re going to see it happening. And for this agent who was a part of this shooting, I think he’s going to wait for this investigation to paint itself out and wait for them to come out with actual facts of what happened that I think you may see him take action.”

Homan emphasized the severity of the threats facing the agent.

“Because I know for a fact that now he has to be in hiding. I seen a post this morning on my way to the studio here, with his picture, ‘Wanted for murder.’ It’s beyond the pale,” he added.

As federal authorities continue investigating the Minneapolis shooting, the episode highlights a growing pattern of online mob justice targeting law enforcement officers — even before facts are established — under President Donald J. Trump’s renewed push to restore law, order, and respect for federal agents carrying out their duties.
