Top Dem Issues Insane ICE Threat – Hit With Instant KARMA After Homan Steps In

As violent anti-ICE protests swept Los Angeles over the weekend, top officials in President Donald J. Trump’s administration condemned Democratic Mayor Karen Bass for vowing to defy federal immigration enforcement — even as her city descended into chaos.

In a statement posted to social media, Bass claimed she was "deeply angered" by lawful immigration raids conducted by federal officers.

“This morning, we received reports of federal immigration enforcement actions in multiple locations in Los Angeles,” Bass wrote. “As Mayor of a proud city of immigrants… I am deeply angered by what has taken place.”
“These tactics sow terror in our communities and disrupt basic principles of safety in our city… We will not stand for this,” she added.

That defiant rhetoric did not sit well with federal officials, who reminded the embattled mayor that immigration enforcement is a federal responsibility — not a matter of local political whim.

“You have no say in this at all,” said Deputy White House Chief of Staff Stephen Miller in a blunt response on X. “Federal law is supreme and federal law will be enforced.”

Tom Homan, President Trump’s Border Czar, echoed the sentiment during an appearance on Fox News’ The Big Weekend Show.

“American people, this is about enforcing the law, and again, we’re not going to apologize for doing it,” Homan said. “We’re stepping up. We’re mobilizing.”

As ICE agents attempted to carry out lawful deportation orders, mobs of violent left-wing demonstrators clashed with law enforcement, forcing officers to deploy flashbangs at several locations to disperse crowds blocking arrests.

White House adviser Dr. Sebastian Gorka took direct aim at Bass and her allies for enabling lawlessness.

“They’re Illegals. Not ‘immigrants,’” Gorka posted on X, referencing a recent terror suspect in Boulder, Colorado. “If you’re aiding and abetting them you’re a criminal too.”
“Are you ready to be treated as a criminal? Because we are ready to treat you as one if you commit a crime,” he warned.

Harmeet K. Dhillon, a top Justice Department official under Trump, expressed disbelief at the ignorance displayed by elected Democrats.

“It’s amazing the number of elected officials who don’t grasp the basics of federalism, or federal sovereignty over immigration issues, or the First Amendment,” she posted on X.

One protester, David Huerta, was arrested for interfering with a federal arrest operation. According to U.S. Attorney Bill Essayli, Huerta — president of California’s SEIU — obstructed ICE agents by physically blocking a government vehicle during a lawful workplace raid.

“Federal agents were executing a lawful judicial warrant… when David Huerta deliberately obstructed their access by blocking their vehicle,” Essayli said. “He was arrested… and will face arraignment in federal court on Monday.”
“Let me be clear: I don’t care who you are — if you impede federal agents, you will be arrested and prosecuted.”

Amid escalating unrest, Department of Homeland Security spokeswoman Tricia McLaughlin revealed the severity of the situation:

“Assaulting ICE enforcement officers, slashing tires, defacing buildings. 800 protestors have surrounded and breached the first layer of a federal law enforcement building in LA,” McLaughlin posted on X. “@LAPD has not responded. This violence against @ICEgov must stop.”

President Trump’s Special Envoy Richard Grenell didn’t mince words, laying responsibility squarely at the feet of the Democratic mayor:

“Karen Bass whipped all of this up. She attacked the rule of law. She undermined democracy,” Grenell wrote. “The @MayorOfLA is creating chaos in LA.”

As President Trump continues to crack down on the criminal networks enabling illegal immigration, Democrats like Karen Bass are choosing radical activism over public safety. The American people are watching — and they’ve had enough.
